Applying for jobs meant for college seniors?
What are your thoughts on applying for jobs that are meant for graduating seniors when you are already 1-2 years out of college? Obviously this could set you back in terms of career/comp progression depending on your current role, but in some cases I imagine that this could be worth it if it gets you "in the door" at a firm you'd love to work for. I recently found an opening at a dream firm (PE/HF) but it is oriented toward graduating seniors. I'd be willing to make the move, but would prior work experience be a disqualifying factor?
Any insight into this type of move, how it may be viewed, its effect on career progression, etc. would be very appreciated.
