Carry Structure / Agreements

Curious to know how detailed carry packages can get, whether mid-level professional or senior partner. My understanding is each investor gets some bps allocation in a fund. However, what if you are the partner driving the carry in the fund with 2x more exits than the other partners? Surely you would be compensated accordingly and not just by the bps allocation you have in the fund entirely?

TLDR - how directly does deal success / failure contribute to PE compensation
