GS TMT/FIG vs MS M&A vs EB (EVR,PJT M&A) MF PE placement

Have a 2024 SA offer at one of the groups listed above for my junior summer. When I start to think about full-time recruiting, I def want to go into MF PE, ideally at a firm like BX or WP. Are all these firms viewed the same by headhunters or should I be focusing my efforts on one or two in particular?

If you're referring to FT analyst recruiting, those firms don't typically use headhunters; they use their own HR team. Nevertheless, none of the banks/groups you listed will disqualify you from the process. IMO it would be splitting hairs to pick what you perceive to be the most prestigious solely for MF FT recruiting prospects

Does networking and knowing investment professionals and HR matter as much for on-cycle as it does for full time recruiting? I got to know many people at PE firms during recruiting but decided to stick with banking. I’m wondering if I can still leverage these connections during on-cycle, or if head hunters will be in the driver’s seat
