Lower tier BB: PE recruiting
I looked through WSO & not much talk about this over the past few years. Wondering what the PE recruitment for lower tier BB (UBS, Deutsche) is like. I know MFs & UMM firms target top BBs - will lower tier BBs get looks from them too? Do they mostly look at people from the best groups within those banks?
As a rule of thumb, upper BB > upper MM and lower BB > lower MM. You should be fine though!
Amazing insight. Totally didn't know that upper BB candidates recruited better than lower BB candidates.
Hey Prospect in IB, where would you put EBs? Would be helpful if you could distinguish between "upper" EBs and "lower" EBs too.
Interested in this as well. Wondering how the likes of DB/UBS place. I'd imagine better than the vast majority of MM firms but curious to see about MF and UMM placement. Linkedin searches can only be so useful!
Any thoughts?
DB places significantly better than UBS for MF/UMM in top groups
Think for DB London, three recent solid exits have been KKR, BlackRock's long term private capital fund (PE wing) and Apollo.
Warburg and Advent as well
Any insights to DB in NYC/SF for recent exits?
Know a few that have gone to UMM PE
Personally know a DB analyst who placed at KKR buyout last year (New York)
