Lower tier BB: PE recruiting

I looked through WSO & not much talk about this over the past few years. Wondering what the PE recruitment for lower tier BB (UBS, Deutsche) is like. I know MFs & UMM firms target top BBs - will lower tier BBs get looks from them too? Do they mostly look at people from the best groups within those banks?

Amazing insight. Totally didn't know that upper BB candidates recruited better than lower BB candidates.

Interested in this as well. Wondering how the likes of DB/UBS place. I'd imagine better than the vast majority of MM firms but curious to see about MF and UMM placement. Linkedin searches can only be so useful!

Personally know a DB analyst who placed at KKR buyout last year (New York)
