MM PE Comp London
Are there any compensation reports on London MM PE?
Understand that there will be differences in overall comp and split between base/bonus but what would a typical base be for someone with 2/3 years banking experience?
And what would bonus be as a % of base?
Thanks
Would you mind sharing the fund size? MM is such a broad space and usually comp is fairly standardized once you hit certain fund size / AUM thresholds.
You should join as an Associate 1 regardless of whether you have 2 or 3 years experience. Some funds (e.g. BX) will downgrade you slightly, i.e. make you senior Analyst if you join with 2 years of experience (i.e. you will need 2.5-3y to Associate). If latest fund is larger than ~USD3bn you can assume GBP80-90k base with 100% bonus on average, with some of the MFs paying more (could be slightly higher base, but usually upside is coming from >100% bonus). Economics might differ quite significantly once you factor in co-invest and carry structure (carry very unlikely before VP level of course).
