School Advice For Eventually Getting Into Private Equity
I am currently a senior in high school and will be applying to colleges soon. My ultimate goal is to get into private equity, and I was basically wondering if going to Northwestern for economics would be vastly superior to finance at UF or FSU (much cheaper with in-state tuition) purely for getting into IB and/or PE. Considering that Northwestern is definitely the highest tier school that I could potentially attend (with a connection), is it worth paying 3x+ as much per year as compared to UF or FSU in the long run to get into such a competitive industry? Do you know people that have made it into private equity from Northwestern? Is it significantly easier than coming from UF or FSU? Thank you very much for reading, sorry for what may be a dumb question.
