Career Resources
Literally the only tech fund I know that has screwed the pooch and done poorly over the past few years (invested in Travel Port before covid which is a 0 now).
I would look at other opps first.
Still pretty solid in terms of overall perception. Very sweaty though (Associates look / seem super tired). They have historically done a lot of hairy take-privates that required a lot of work, so have heard there's more HF-type public monitoring duties for Associates on top of regular-way private transactions. from what I know they do have a culture of internal promotion, but going up to Partner level is challenging since I understand they've been squeezed at the top (could be dated).
Heard from a buddy who’s there that it’s a 2 and out shop for the most part
Interesting. Makes sense given they’ve grown / scaled super quickly so my info is prob several years old.
Associates are 2 and out. Everyone else is on partner track. Sweaty hours
Bump
Believe they fully closed their SF office. Unsure if any jobs were affected in that but worth noting imo
They've stalled on their most recent fundraise and started laying off people end of last year into Q1 this year. Not sure where they stand but it takes 10+ years for PE firms to die anyways. They'll prob just coast for a few more years until their rep catches up to them.
any info on comp?
