Still pretty solid in terms of overall perception. Very sweaty though (Associates look / seem super tired). They have historically done a lot of hairy take-privates that required a lot of work, so have heard there's more HF-type public monitoring duties for Associates on top of regular-way private transactions. from what I know they do have a culture of internal promotion, but going up to Partner level is challenging since I understand they've been squeezed at the top (could be dated).

 

Associates are 2 and out. Everyone else is on partner track. Sweaty hours

 

Believe they fully closed their SF office. Unsure if any jobs were affected in that but worth noting imo

 

They've stalled on their most recent fundraise and started laying off people end of last year into Q1 this year. Not sure where they stand but it takes 10+ years for PE firms to die anyways. They'll prob just coast for a few more years until their rep catches up to them.
