Hi dirtyharry, any of these threads helpful:
I hope those threads give you a bit more insight.
Comp varies wildly by position. Culture is face time heavy as most finance is. 20 days off a year. Free lunch every day and good lake views if your group is lucky enough to have them. This company doesn't promote from within basically at all. Could be a useful stepping stone on the way to somewhere else.
Are exit ops hurt by the fact that you are underwriting single family rentals rather than more traditional commercial product?
probably. SFR will never be CRE.
My resume gets me good interviews at pension funds and developers, every time I make the final round but have struggled to get an offer. Probably because of the sfr asset class
I interviewed for the Portfolio Acquisitions Associate role. Very much like an in house brokerage/sales/asset valuation role. I think the base was around 50-60k, and the year end bonus was up to 100% of that based on your performance and how many deals you found for them.
All I know about this firm is a I had a phone screen scheduled with HR and she dodged me three times. Rescheduled twice with me and then third time just never called me or answered my emails.
Super hard to get a hold of. Recruiters here are known for dodging meetings
I had a super day with the "strategy and execution" team. They gave me a modelling test which I could not do. It was a balance sheet tracking exercise and I was prepared for real estate private equity test. Got ROCKED
