Has anyone seen any empirical data on the immediate economic benefits/drawbacks of megadevelopments in the US? I'm thinking of deals such as projects like Hudson Yards, Brooklyn Basin, Lincoln Yards, or Port Covington.
All of these project always promise huge economic benefits, but in the mid and long term, do those benefits continue?
