ALso wondering myself what the exit opportunities could be from regular commercial/corporate banking (ie for industrial companies etc)
Exit opps could include other CB's, credit funds, mez funds, BDC's, etc. IB and PE would be significantly harder. Corporate banking would likely give you better opps than commercial.
im kind of lost on the diff between comm and corp banking. Some banks seem to let comm mean both?
Im guessing corporate is for more of the higher end larger sophisticated companies?

Sure. Many banks separate commercial and corporate banking by revenue (and thus company size). For instance, Wells Fargo's corporate clients are $500m+ in revenue. Commercial handles around $20m-$500m. As you stated, corporate is handling larger, more sophisticated clientele.
