PGIM RE Finance Analyst Interview
Hey guys,
I finished a first round interview call last week for a 3-year analyst position with PGIM RE Finance and have been asked to do a second round video interview with two Directors next week and complete an assessment. The assessment has no information as to what it is about and the email says you shouldn't prepare or anything. I was wondering if anyone has some insight as to what I should expect from either or what I should be prepared for?
The only reason I make a new post is because I've read many different things in the forum and on the internet and would like to hopefully get some clear insight.
Thanks!
Hey man, Was this for the Real Estate investment Analyst three year program or the RE Research Group Analyst Program ?
Hey, it is for the Real Estate Investment Analyst 3-year program as part of an underwriting team.
I just had my phone interview for the same position at the NJ office the other day. How long was it till you heard back after your 1st round ?
I know a guy who is in that program in Atlanta. He said he had a take home case study when he interviewed, so it sounds like they've changed it up
I know there will be a case study involved, but I wonder if that will come after the next round? I've heard that PGIM gives out an assessment with behavior/situation questions. Really don't know what to expect. I'm starting it when I get out of class in a few hours
I got offered a role in this analyst program as someone who had 2 years of experience at the time of applying. I didnt have to take an excel test, but I dont know if that would change for someone that is coming directly out of school. As for the assessment test....it's a joke. Dont be worried about it.
It will be a case study. Two buddies joined this program at the same time (4 years ago) and mentioned that the case study topic was a PGIM acquisition. If I remember correctly, the exercise involved valuing and supporting the value of the asset.
Use your resources for this case study. My one buddy was an appraiser so had access to a ton of info about the acquisition. No shame in using a leg up if you've got one.
You mentioned that your buddy was an appraiser. Curious, isnt the program mainly for kids out of college? Or do people with 4-5 years experience apply for the program?
Good question. he had about 3 years exp. My other buddy had about the same at a lender. The program may have changed since then so I cant give you a firm answer.
Also, this was for WC. Not sure if recruiting practices are different but thought i'd mention.
If it was a case study wouldn't they say that? I heard they give an assessment with behavior/situation questions. Taking it soon so I'll let you guys know
if you search the forums, there's a PGIM case study somewhere on WSO.

So just finished the assessment and it was a mix of problem solving, math and brain teaser questions, followed by situation and true and false and finally personality (strongly disagree - strongly agree). The only hard part was the first part with the problem solving, math and brain teaser questions as you only have thee minutes to answer each. I am a very visual person so I was writing things out which honestly took time and may have hurt me on some questions. We'll just have to see though!
