Property Management = Asset Management?
Was pitched an opportunity that focuses on acquisitions and asset management, but it was explained as I would be working closely with the day to day property manager. In your experience is that asset management? Mentioned working to see where operational efficiencies can be had and helping with renovations, but really taking some of the work off the property management's plate.
To me it seemed like this was more emphasized with acquisitions in the background especially with where the market is. What have people with more experience seen? I think them calling it AM is a clever way to silo me into property management and there are a few guys who are focusing on acquisitions already so more of a bandwidth thing there.
It’s part of managing the asset. Certain PM Issues get escalated, $ decision needs to be made etc. You work closely with property management to execute the business plan.
those are not the same thing
