RE Development Opportunities in Portugal?
In recent years, there has been a major expat movement from the U.S to Portugal.
Portugal is an attractive location to prospective business owners and new residents from around the world for variety of reasons; it’s beautiful beaches, low cost of living, foreigner friendly Golden Visa Program, startup-friendly governance, and overall safety. As a result, opportunities for continued growth with minimal pushback seem very positive and this has been further exasperated with the WFH movement, high inflation, and many other pressures.
I am interested, has anyone ever seriously contemplated any form of real estate development opportunity in Portugal? What was the project and your overall experience like? Major setbacks/hurdles? Outcome?
