Real Estate Private Equity Pay

Does anyone here have an idea of what is the appropriate real estate private equity pay at the associate & senior associate levels (i.e. someone with 3 - 4 years experience overall)?
Lets say for a $3 - 4 Bn fund, for the sake of arguement.

Anyone here know of reputable headhunters that can give a good indication of total comp levels/salary survey?

Ive asked this question so many times on here...no one seems to have an answer....

There's an old thread where someone, I think LB Banker, claims that they make 30-50% less than traditional PE guys.

I remember that, but it does not sound right to me. I even asked for clarification of that from anyone else on that thread, to no avail.......

I should clarify--I have a few friends in RE PE and most are paid at a discount to regular PE. however, the one that's at Blackstone RE is on par with regular PE. But I think he works more than I do in IBD.

works more b/c he does more deals than you or most analysts at other BBs. Their RE group is awesome and amazing, but very leanly staffed and hard as shit to get into. I worked on a deal with an analyst from their and team was comprised of a Director and analyst, that's it. In a normal BB, you'll have at least 4 people for the same deal. hence hours are longer and pay is higher.

Does anyone here actually work in RE PE?

I'll be trying to weasel my way into Carlyle's RE group after grad school, and I know someone else who just went over there as an associate (hasn't started yet, but accepted offer).
