Non-Target EU student - Feedback WANTED

Hi fellow monkeys,

I am a recent grad from a nontarget Dutch uni. Have a partime job at the IB dept of a MM bank and am trying to move to MO (S&T). Please critique my resume and cover letter (below):

To whom it may concern,

My name is XXX and I am writing you with regards to the vacancy for a XX at XX. I was introduced to this vacancy by XX via email, since I work already at XX, and I would like to take the opportunity to introduce myself to you.

I am currently working at the XX team within XX as a ‘student’ and have recently finished my graduation thesis research at XX. I have an international mindset, which is underlined by the international internship (Sydney) and study abroad (Paris) I have pursuit during my studies.

During my graduation research at XX I got the change to further enrich my analytical, problem solving and communicative skills. The recommendations I have made to improve the reconciliation process, based on my research, have been implemented, or are being implemented and my research was graded 8.4/10.

I am a result driven type of person with an eye for detail and a keen interest in, and good understanding of, financial markets and products; partly based on my study curriculum and partly based on my interest finance. I enjoy working in a team, especially in a demanding environment.

As I believe my personality, work experience and competence suits de position vacant I would welcome the opportunity to discuss my qualifications with you during an interview.

A copy of my resume is enclosed for your reference. I can be reached at +0000000 or via email at [email protected]. Thank you very much for your time and consideration.

Sincerely yours,

XXX
