I'd change language proficiency to Hindi (Basic), Punjabi (Basic) or something like that. You need to make your resume more results focused and use numerical values. Cut down on the less relevant experiences.
To be honest, I'm from the US and I've heard recruiting is fairly different in the UK. Why don't you just try reaching out to alumni who work in S&T? Networking is the best use of your time in my opinion.

The skills, activites & interest section can be spaced farther apart since you have the room. Maybe put some titles for the positions you have held.
Your resume would get tossed just about anywhere I can imagine in the U.S.
