Bschool Waitlist Update Question

Hey guys, figured I'd see if anyone has experience / advice on the following situation. I applied to a handful of schools round 2 and got accepted to an M7 that I'm pretty happy with but am also waitlisted at an HSW school. I had previously updated the school letting them know of some professional developments and reiterating my interest in the program. They acknowledged my update and reissued a waitlist message last week.

I was wondering if it'd be a good idea to let them know I paid my deposit at another school but would be willing to make the move over if granted admission. I don't know if that comes across in very poor taste and makes me look like a shithead. It also really isn't an update on my accomplishments (unless getting into a school counts?) and as such I'm opting not to send them a message - figure they will message me if a spot opens up to gauge my interest. Any thoughts?

Agree -- tricky to politely explain that situation. But, I wouldn't stay completely quiet either. Even if you don't have major updates to share, send another note reiterating your interest in the school, possibly mentioning any continued networking you've done with the school's community. And reiterate that you would accept a spot if given one (without mentioning the other school). And yes, letters of support from students or alums can definitely help. Hang in there!

Yes, don't go overboard ha, but a well-timed check-in a few weeks from now would be great. We've even seen some people go creative and submit videos!
