Given your interest in IB (Investment Banking) and finance, you'll want to aim for schools that have a strong track record in these areas. Here's a tailored list from the jungle of options, focusing on schools known for their finance programs and IB placement:
Penn-State University: A solid choice with a reputable finance program. It's known for having connections to the industry, which is crucial for IB.
Fordham University: Located in New York, Fordham offers great opportunities for networking and internships in finance.
Drexel University: Its co-op program provides hands-on experience, which can be a significant advantage in the competitive IB job market.
UIUC (University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign): Known for its strong business and finance programs.
Rutgers University: Offers a good finance program with connections to the New York financial industry.
Baruch College: Part of the CUNY system, it's well-regarded for finance and has strong ties to Wall Street.
Villanova University: Has a solid finance program and a good network in the finance industry.
Northeastern University: The co-op program here also offers practical experience, which is valuable for breaking into IB.
Boston University and Boston College: Both have strong finance programs and are located in a city with a vibrant finance industry.
Indiana University: Specifically, the Kelley School of Business is highly regarded for finance and has a strong alumni network in IB.
Remember, while these schools have strong programs, breaking into IB also requires networking, internships, and leveraging any connections you might have. Also, consider the overall fit of the school for you personally, not just its reputation in finance. You'll perform best where you're happiest and most engaged.
Keep swinging through those finance vines, and you'll land where you need to be. Good luck!
