GMAT PREP

I got a score in the early 600s on my diagnostic GMAT - the goal is 750. Is the Princeton Review helpful? I have a discount on their fundamentals course but have been everyone recommend Manhattan Prep which is much more expensive for me. Is there a huge difference? I also plan to use the official guide books.

In terms of GMAT - GMATClub, BeattheGmat, Reddit might be more helpful.

When it comes down to Gmat Prep it really depends on 1) How do you like to study (Self-taught/classes/tutor) 2) What do you lack on (Verbal/Quant) 3) What is hurting your score in these sections (i.e. time management/fundamentals/tips&tricks). There are more questions, but these are what I thought of.

Lack fundamentals (doesn't seem to be the case from 600 mock) - Go for TTP.
Want more on tips & tricks - EMPOWERGmat
Want a tutor - depends on the budget
Want a self-taught class - TTP/Manhattan Prep
Want to attend classes - Veritas Prep.

People may like Veritas or Manhattan or TTP or some other firm. It all comes down to what suits you the best. Most Prep companies have a trail offer - use that before signing up and see if it suits you.

*Additionally - Manhattan Prep books on Amazon have helped quite a bit of students instead of their prep class. - If you are a book reader.

Aside from others - I am a firm believer to keep the OG till the end. I have heard students use it as their only option and score 700+ or at the beginning, but thats what fit them. I believe that use some prep before OG so you don't go around wasting official OG questions when you don't have much of any prep.

Your holy bible should be the Official Guide. Do not do practice questions from any other source, full stop.

I found Manhattan Prep to be very helpful in teaching you how to approach questions formulaically. Just get the books, the few hundred extra bucks upfront is worth it when you factor in the pain you'll cause yourself if you don't maximize your opportunity to score well your first try.

Manhattan Prep was great for learning what the types of questions are that you’ll see and teaching you strategies for attacking them while staying within your time constraints. I liked the classes because it kept me honest on my study schedule. It’s expensive for sure but if it boosts your GMAT in a big way, the few thousand bucks you spent might feel like a great ROI.

All the guides are a waste of fucking time. Just watch the veritas videos where they show the sentence correction, use repeated sessions of OG questions for learning other verbal and quant. Brueni on GMAT club works thru all the math answers don’t waste time learning how to apply math theory his methods will save you literally days worth of brain damage
