MSc in Top 5 UK Schools

Hello! Some opinion needed 🤔

Is doing a MSc Finance at a top 5 UK university a good path to IBD for non-EU non-target European undergrad with some FP&A experience (two-ish years afer graduation)? Was always interested in IB, just no firms in my home country, generally would consider any bank, not only BB/EB... Potential universities for MSc are Oxford, LSE, UCL, ICL, as I have really strong academics in undergrad. Plan would be: informal internship at local advisory company summer before classes, SA summer after MSc classes, Graduate visa, FT. Is this idea any good?

Did exactly the same. Non-EU , went to a LSE Mfin, broke into IB SA and returning as a FT next year

Imo: LBS > LSE / Oxford (oxford could place higher but its outside London)

Dont regret LSE at all because it was my dream school, but objectively LBS is better. Light coursework, easy exams, it is designed so that you have time to apply / have some fun in London. They are also more likely to give you a partial scholarship

Keep in mind LBS has a hard rule of no more than 2yrs work experience. So could be harmful to this lad.
