Profile evaluation - MSC in the UK

Hi everyone,

I am considering doing a postgraduate master in a top school in the UK (LSE, LBS, Cass, Cambridge) as a way of rebranding myself and I would like to know if my profile would match with the requirements of those schools.
I would more particularly target schools with an emphasis in real estate because I would love to have a degree in this field

Ideally, I would like to enter it in mid 2020 or early 2021 after the end of my short term contract of 1 year and a half

Academic Background

Top 10 Business School in France, Average grades a bit under 2.1, but first for financial classes
This is what worry me the most
GMAT: TBD

Professional background

Internship in London in research in a bank in a good team,
M&A in real estate
Currently in a real estate debt fund - Approx 10-12 deals a year

I will be able to have references from people at C level of a major real estate company in Europe

Other
President of the finance society
Volunteering

Thanks a lot for your help!

Have a nice day

A couple of pointers, you should get to applying ASAP now given the MSC deadlines are going to be in the next 2-4 months (I'd get them in by the end of Nov). The only start dates in the UK are really just in Sep or Oct every year.

Most important in your application is that you understand why you want to do this course, especially if you may get questioned on your academic record. Your experience will speak for itself and I'm sure the reference will help.

In your comment you emphasize a lot on the work exp, which is definitely a key component of your application, but still just one component. Take a good look on how you can do on the GMAT as london schools and oxbridge will probably want to see a score of at least 700 if you averaged at a 2:1 at your undergrad. Apart from that, all of the schools should put you in a great position in the recruitment process. French programmes often tend to be much more quant focused,so it depends what you are looking for.
