Stanford GSB Round 3 Interview (2+2 candidate)
I had my interview for Stanford GSB and was given no feedback in terms of how it went by the end of the call. Is this normal? The interviewer was very kind and said it was great to meet me but I was left wondering what their impression was of me as a potential candidate. Any advice on how you can tell if you did well? Separately, does anyone have any advice on what to do in the meantime when waiting for your decision to increase your chance of acceptance (if anything)? Thanks!

Nothing you can do to increase your chances, but Stanford GSB interviews are known to be weighed lightly since alumni that do it instead of the adcom (like for HBS, for which the interview is much more important). There's always going to be discrepancies in interview style and effectiveness that the school can't standardize for, so the interview process really is as much about keeping alumni involved with the school as it is about actually using it to decide on candidates. A GSB interviewer told me he's seen little correlation between his feedback and who actually gets in - I think unless you come across as a complete asshole the interview effect really is marginal.
Also, out of curiosity what's your profile and stats?
Thank you! I appreciate the response. Makes a lot of sense!
In terms of profile, I am senior headed into finance. I had a lower than average GMAT but higher than average GPA.
Good luck!
Thanks, you too!
Anyone not heard back yet?
