the basic salary is same as IBD, which is 60K in the US and I read from the Vault discussion board that the bonus is around 15-20K....hope this helps.

def. less hours - usually about 60+, instead of 100+.

Thanks Gun, perhaps a link to the board? I couldn't find a good baord on vault. Any good AM boards in general?

Also, how to the exit ops compare with trading? (not to be trite, but im just curious as I am doing a SA AM this summer).

sorry, i only know of the vault investment management board, u can access it from the careers service page of upenn, free (im not from Penn,I used to use it a lot, but now my school has their own vault access as well).

i guess AM divisions in BBs have longer working hours...maybe 70+

u mean exit opps to HFs...hm...im not sure bout this one...according to the threads in this forum, AM ppl go for fundamental HFs, while traders go to some quant HFs....i guess it depends what kinda path u wanna pursue

haha..wanted to pursue an AM internship in the very beginning as well, but wasnt determined enuf and took an IBD offer instead, the AM recruitment process is way slower than IBDs and Markets...

hope u can tell me more about the AM side when u start working...cheers

Yo, my school has access. I will def. check it out again. Yeah, I think you are right about the HF ops. Whatever, we will see! I will def. keep you posted. You banking in london or NY?
