BP Trading Internship

I am originally from southern Illinois so I would prefer to go to the Chicago location that is listed, but is there a strong presence there/would I have a legitimate chance of actually interning there? Or should I apply to Houston, where it seems the majority of the energy trading internships would be?

Thanks in advance

So Chicago is financially settled, versus being physically settled in Houston? What would be the pros and cons of each? Does one pay more than the other or can you apply to both?

Hey powertime,

I picked Houston, since I want to be natty trader rather than crude. Have you heard back from them yet?

I talked with one of their traders, they said for FT, you will enroll an analyst program for 2.5 years and in the end if you pass the simulation you can trade.

When did you guys apply to the IST program and hear back/have first rounds for full time? I applied back in September for full time and according to their website my application is still being reviewed. I have heard it takes a while for them to get back to people but I would have thought by now I would hear if I got a first round or not
