Structured Products

Hi Everyone,

I'm an incoming analyst in one of the BBs structuring desk (cross-asset FX/Rates/Credit) next year.

  • What do y'all think about the prospects and future of structured products (structured notes, swaps, etc)?
  • How is the projected flow in the future in general? Is structuring a great career to start in?
  • How's the career progression look like - stay in structuring sell-side, transition to trading/sales, and/or move to the buy-side?
  • Books and resources to prepare before joining FT next year?

Would really appreciate any of y'all advice, cheers!
