From CEE Growth Equity to London-based Growth Equity with non-traditional background

Is it possible to break into London-based GE as a VP whose entire prior GE investing experience has been in the CEE region and who has neither top MBA nor top western undergraduate degree (bachelor's degree in the CEE and Master`s degree in the UK but not from a target school)? I have solid investing experience, which is limited by my small region, and also regional IB experience.

What would you suggest to do to make such move possible (e.g. MBA, extensive networking, etc)?
