Opportunities from a small VC
I am currently recruiting for earlier-stage investing roles (i.e VC/early growth) and recently just got an offer from a very small VC firm with <5 people and on their first fund of <$50mm.
I am curious to hear what exit-ops there are from a role like this? Is it possible to lateral to a larger more established VC after a few years? Is it possible to go into biz dev/strategy at a large F500 tech company?
I know that the most common moves are going to one of your funds portfolio companies or go to bschool. Would love to get some insight on what other possibilities are.
Thanks in advance
Yeah b school and portfolio companies are some examples. Venture is in a very weird space right now just like everyone else so things could be wildly different than we saw in the last 10 years.
Depending on the role and performance of the fund, you could end up in various different places like later stage/pe or fundraising/busdev if that’s your area.

It's possible to lateral to a larger VC fund after a few years but you likely will need to prove that you can source good deals and establish some track record for yourself.
