VC Senior Associate / VP compensation
Hi All,
Recently received a Senior Associate / VP offer from a semi-large VC ($500M latest fund, >$1B AUM). Offer details as follows:
$250K base, $50K bonus, 1% carry allocation in latest fund (equivalent to $1M assuming fund 2x's).
I've searched the salary database as well as some older posts, but it's been difficult to find recent threads with a similar context. Wanted to check in with the community to gauge the offer before negotiating.
I'd say your position is along the lines of Principal at most funds and given that your total AUM is >$1B, your compensation is about average. Congrats on the offer! That's a really nice paycheck with decent carry to boot for retirement.
Avg Base: $236k Avg Bonus: $85k Avg Total Cash Comp: $321k Avg Carry: 1.29% Avg Yrs in VC: 4.7 Avg Work Exp Yrs: 8.4
that is a very strong offer for VC
Seems like a really generous package for VC
Tier 1 VC? how many partners? USA?
