Family Office Salary
I am currently a first year analyst at a family office in a large but non major US city. I passed CFA Level 2 and I wondered if 50k base is a good salary? No bonuses promised or profit sharing of any kind. In a multifaceted role which is primarily working for the CIO. Company has 400m AUM per employee on average. I also help other associate advisors and I am principally assigned to two of the larger clients (1bn AUM each) as a second associate advisor. Each client has 1-2 advisors and 1-2 associate advisors.
You’re asking is 50k base is a good salary after having the distinguished title of Chartered Financial Analyst? No sir no it is not
It is my current salary (level 2 pass/level 3 candidate). I am not a charterholder.
bro u can make working 50k working at chickfila
Okay but I thought this was good for a first year and then it increases no?
Dude 50k is dog water. I thought family office was the pinnacle of finance in terms of pay and work life balance
can't tell if there is a troll or joke here. $50k all in is not good or market!!
As expensive as it is to buy study materials / software for the CFA, your employer must be paying for it. $50k seems very low.
Any entry level corporate analyst or accounting role would pay more. Those roles don’t drive revenue, but yours does. That makes the compensation really make no sense imo.
My company is paying for my L3. I sit in Feb for it.
