JPM PB Salary - Analyst Associate
Hi, I am in the process of potentially lateraling over to the PB at JPM as a 2nd year analyst. I was wondering if people had any concrete numbers on what potential bonus #s look like with the new model of a 100/105 base and what the new salary is for the new "Associate" position.
Bump
Salary is in line with market rate for any Associates position . There are no exact percentage range that’s determined by your team. But lower than IB.
How much can associates make all in?
Just interested, where are you lateraling from?
SFO. It is interesting but there is quite a lot of grunt work to do for the family that I don't enjoy even at the higher levels (not to mention they are douchey)
Currently a 2nd year in the PB.
1st year analyst base: $100k
2nd year analyst base: $110k (I think $15-30k bonus)
1st year associate: $135k base (guessing $35-50k bonus)
2nd year associate: $150k base
Not sure what progression looks like after that.
damn are bonuses that low even at a 110k base. I was anticipating that at the old 85k.
jpm pays the PB pennies compared to IB for whatever reason. at least make an1 base the same as IB.
PB analysts provide no value
what do IB analysts do except format slides that no one reads? same thing
Although their work isn’t completely meaningful, they are essentially working under salesman that close billions of dollars of deals and bring a fuck ton of revenue to the bank. PB analysts do what exactly, Open bank accounts ?
Although their work isn't completely meaningful, they are essentially working under salesman that close billions of dollars of deals by bringing and maintaing in clients and bring a fuck ton of revenue to the bank. IB analysts do what exactly, move logos around?
Same shit can be said about both roles, and in the end at the higher levels everything is a sales role. Pay PB and IB an1s the same.
No longer in WM, can't tell you how many deals we routed to our IB by onboarding F500 execs and IPOs from founders when they were ready. Full-service banks are massive engines with a lot of moving parts that help drive revenue.
Solutions Analysts do - they actually work on markets (trade, work in PM, etc.)
What was first year analyst bonus like?
These are A2A associate numbers.
Post MBA hires are at $175 afaik
Any idea on post-mba bonus?
My sign on was 57.5k and my stub was $40k. After that it depends on production
Post MBA Sr. Associate base is 150k. 5k bump every year if you hit a minimum production target. Associate max is 170k.
