Networking Advice: Following up with an MD

Hey Guys, Needed some networking advice. Have been actively networking with some senior folks, at almost all firms.

Had a really good call conversation with an MD who looks after the analyst class. He mentioned he will put my profile forward, down the line, once things get normal in 3-6 months. This conversation was 1 month ago.

I'll be graduating in July 2021. In most cases, in my country, FT recruitment starts around August/September(2020). So when I approach him around August, I don't want to be coming out of nowhere after 4-5 months. Any advice as to how do I follow up(If at all, I should) ? What should I do to get him on another call, and if I do, should I mention the FT gig part?

Any help appreciated.
