A2A Implications on Exit Opps
Hey all,
Analyst at a top bank that is highly supportive of internal promotion / junior retention. Enjoy the firm and people, and pay is top tier. Considering going A2A but worried about limiting my optionality in terms of exit opps to PE / HF afterwards.
Is there anyone with experience (first or secondhand) that could weigh in on how the buyside views A2A promotes down the road? Do you effectively price yourself out of a buyside associate position or is there some stigma associated with the promotion?
Thanks all!

A2A won’t effect your buyside opps. Just have your story ready of why you stayed... could be any reason. Once you get promoted to VP is when you really get stuck on the banking side
Bump, I had heard going A2A hurts your exit opps and that a lot less firms reach out to you but curious as to what other people have experienced or heard
Following as well.
