Applying for a job that is posted by a headhunter/recruiter
When applying for a job that is advertised by a recruiting firm, are you suppose to address the cover letter to the recruiting firm or just state "hiring manager/sir/madame etc". I have been searching through the forums and have found some info on headhunters/recruiting firms, but not on this subject.
When applying for several jobs listed by the same recruiting agency, is one suppose to write the same cover letter or a different cover letter for each job? For example, what if there are several analyst opening at different i-banks? Or a PE job opening at the analyst level? I think it would seem insincere to submit the same CL to the recruiter with different jobs. Any thoughts? What is the correct way to approach this? Many thanks in advance for your thoughts.
