It would probably be better if you came across more interested in the job than the pointless brainteaser. You are not expected to get those 100% correct, just to explain your reasoning.
Was it the brain teaser you posted about? Don't think it was really hard enough to justify having to send the guy an email about it
He didn't really ask my reasoning, I was just thinking of mentioning it in the thank you note saying that on my own time i did it and came up with another answer, and asking him whether it was correct. In the thank you letter I will also convey my interest in the job.
