Bayes rule question for cfa

Quick question for any mathy/econ guys or any of the many really smart guys and gals here on WSO.

Doing Bayes rule and I find translating the words right into the formula confusing sometimes. Doing it in the tree format seems to make it a lot easier for me.

My question is can these problems usually/always be solved by doing it in the tree? If so I just want to do that and forget learning the formula.

Also if anyone has a funny example of a Bayes rule application, please share it so I can remember it better. Maybe something related to girls/cars/etc. Schweser is pretty light on examples involving hot babes.

Thanks and SB for a good answer.
