I am a big fan of the show but there are times where they try to be so tough guy wall street that it just seems unrealistic. In the opening scene we meet Rebecca Cantu, who almost immediately uses the line "thinner than Kate Moss on a juice cleanse". Bach's line of "tighter than AC/DC in 78", Bonnie telling Axe (and her boss) " my thong is riding up my crack, I don't need you up there too Axe" and the insanely bizarre movie references seem to leave anyone other than a film junkie very confused by the references. It just seems like it has gotten borderline cartoonish rather than a "loosely" realistic show. Curious if I am the only one who feels this way.

It reminds me of The Newsroom if it were set in a pre-crisis trading floor. Everyone has a crisp quip for every situation. I admit that I'm cheesy enough to enjoy both shows but the constant Sorkan-style cross-talk takes me out of the moment.

Be excellent to each other, and party on, dudes.
