Blackrock/Wells Fargo question/decision
okay, so heres the scoop:
I am graduating from the University of Virginia in 2010 and the recruiting season here is in full effect. I am pretty sure Wells Fargo will give me an offer in their sales and trading group. However, I recently have been shown some interest by Blackrock in their Solutions Center group.
I am basically wondering if the S&T job would be better for job progression/business school/pay or if the Blacrock job would be. From what I understand, the Blackrock solutions center will teach me only in proprietary software and not give me a transferable skillset. However, the brand and environment may be better for my job progression into either management or a more appealing area of the firm. The S&T job would be good training and pay, but may not be as good of a brand as Blackrock, which may affect my job progression (I could be wrong).
I really want to do some trading and not some kinda software teacher. What do you guys think?
