Breakfast Cannot Wait

Hello WSO,

I am a CPA within a Big 4 firm (audit side) in SoCal who also has a STEM background looking to leverage my critical thinking abilities into a career in management consulting. During my first year at the firm, there was an individual who left to go to a top 5 MBA program, transitioning from Big 4 to BB. This was an eye-opening experience, as I assumed my path was the "end of the road," so to speak. Last year a friend of mine started working at a non-MBB consulting firm and asked me if I had any interest in consulting. I did not think much of it at the time, but have now come to realize that is where I would like to take my career path. Either I will start at his firm or start at an MBA program on the west coast (Stanford, Haas, Anderson or Marshall). My reason for posting is to find out more information within the Consulting and Business School + GMAT Forums, but felt I should introduce myself here. Thank you for any insights that I have already gained and are about to gain through this forum.

EDIT: Figured I should provide background to the thread title. Name comes from the Dave Chappelle skit where Charlie Murphy retells the story of being beaten by Prince in a game of basketball, then being invited over for pancakes. Prince subsequently released a single named "Breakfast Can Wait" with Dave Chappelle dressed as Prince on the cover.
