Can Anyone Help Out a Soon to be Intern
I am starting a big 4 audit internship this summer and wanted to know if any former interns or associates have any guides or training materials they would be willing to share. I am really just trying to get a handle of whats ahead and would really appreciate it. Silver bananas for those that can help.Thanks.
Just learn how to use excel. VBA would set you apart as well. The Big4 will assume you known nothing, so there's nothing really to prepare for.

I would reach out to HR and try to get your manager's contact information. Then contact him/her and ask this same question - they want interns to hit the ground running and it would show foresight and initiatve.
I would also be interested in training materials.
As far as excel goes, what do you think is needed prior to the internship (functions,shortcuts etc.)? Could I learn everything I need to in a week if I put in a few hours in excel each day for a week?

Seriously big 4 internships, especially AUDIT are a fucking joke. You don't really need to know anything in advance, and some of the audit kids in my intern class didn't even know how to use basic excel. I'm talking about like basic adding and subtracting shit. Just go in there and have fun, the internship is a giant schmoozefest. Oh and try to hook up with your fellow interns if you can, audit tends to hire a lot of hot girls ;)
