Maybe they could assign a mod to that sticky to keep things less hairy and more kosher.

The upside for all of us to increase our skill-sets and even shop-talk the fundamentals or finer points of a deal (as presented in an uploaded excel model) would be incredible. And, having a sticky here would be more convenient/fluid than say if we all agreed on a dedicated off-site Dropbox to aggregate our collective excel models/interesting deal sheets/educational resources/etc..

BakersDozen:

Maybe we can create an off-site collective dropbox for all our models in the interim.

I don't think the need is great enough to do something sidestepping WSO - just my input. WSO could have a new thread in a minute.

Also willing to share.

Robert Clayton Dean: What is happening? Brill: I blew up the building. Robert Clayton Dean: Why? Brill: Because you made a phone call.

Short Answer: Yes - bumping this. And, will definitely share a good array of models.

Longer Answer: I think this thread shows a serious interest in getting a sticky with model box on our board or having someone set up a interim one via dropbox until WSO gets ours up and running. If security is an issue we can pass a dropbox entry code (am assuming this is how it works) to key RE-WSO members to be disseminated upon active board member request (to stave off any random via net access, etc).

Monkeys -

I've tried to post the link to the dropbox, but WSO is blocking it because I don't have enough points. Could someone PM me with more points and I'll send them the link.

password: remodels

I'm not sure how to allow someone I'm sharing the link w/ to edit it. If anyone knows please relay on. In the meantime I have a intern here who is collecting dust and is willing to upload these into the dropbox if you PM to me.

We've added a few of ours within. Let me know if anyone has any issues accessing.

This seems really interesting. A way of getting around the password issue is simply to just leave it open and have the files number labeled. Then have a running thread here that says what each number is.

i.e. 1 - X hotel acquisition 2 - X NNN single tennant development

etc.

This way anyone can add files and you have a bit more anonymity in the drop box.

I've been trying to get my hands on an open air mall/retail development model. I'm looking at developing a property for the first time and want to the due diligence on the GPs model to make sure it holds up.

All: I'd love to participate in this. I'm currently sitting in a Corporate Treasury department position at a large institutional bank, but actively searching for Analyst/Underwriting position to gain exposure into Capital Markets within CRE. How do I get access to these models? I'd love to learn more about them to help me gain knowledge in this industry to further my career.

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

The password doesn't seem to work for me. Comes back with an error. Please can you confirm how to get access. I have a few models I can upload.

Cheers

Thanks for this very helpful. I was trying to use my old (very old, from 2008!) lbo model for my new real estate venture but it didn't really fit too well as really not very RE focused. Using the multi-family model for a portfolio of apartments so should work. Thanks again.

Added a few of the models from dropbox to the google drive. Lets see if we can build out a solid folder for the WSO community.

This is a great thread and sorely needed by our community. Whoever added the three models there - much appreciated.

If each person on this thread could pledge just +one single model+, we would have a solid collection by years end.

I just put on a mixed use development model. No formulas (which sucks), but maybe someone will find it helpful.
