Honestly I doubt I get mine drycleaned more than once or so a year - they seem fine if you hang them or roll them after use?

I hang them and will occasionally steam them while I shower (I know TMI). Usually some get creases or wrinkles. If I tie it in the exact same spot, you can't notice it, but it varies a bit.

 

Ah I see what you mean, hadn't thought about that. Might save a few dollars just ironing out the part where you tie it, specially if you have one of the steam irons

Hang them on a tie rack and steam them when they wrinkle a bit. I also dry clean them twice a year and it works. Unless I spill something on them. Then I have to dry clean to save the tie.

 

Keep them rolled up or hang them, always tie in the exact same place, let steam in shower when they get wrinkles. It seems that when I get them dry cleaned the edges always come back flattened and there are creases. Not so much an issue for cheap ties, but if it's a really nice tie I just don't clean them at this point.

Can anyone here recommend a good dry cleaner downtown NYC for ties? (or midtown, I'd make the trip once a year). Seems every place I've gone to can't do this right.
