Career Change to PB Analyst from the outside?

Are they really as enthusiastic as they sound on the recruiting webpage? I currently work in Hospitality, but received a BS in Economics, and took extra elective level Econometrics. I also have the Microsoft MOS Master level Excel. i appreaicate any feedback or additional information the community here may offer.
