CFA®
Might be a stupid question, but I have access to all the schweser prep books for CFA®
from around 2009. From a strictly technical standpoint (ie financials analysis vs regulation), would I be safe starting to use them to study before I fully commit to the L1? Just started as an IB analyst and want to see how successful I am in making the study habit before I go all in, but don't want to learn the wrong material.
Passed L1 in December. Pretty sure 80% or more of it will be the same as the current material (as far as concepts go).
I took level 1 back in 2014, a buddy of mine is taking it this weekend... His Schweser books were pretty significantly different from mine, and that's only a 2 year gap. You'll get the basics from the 2009 books but I'd 100% buy the new Schweser notes if/when you commit to taking it.
