CFA Pre-level 1 for Liberal Arts Major with very few quant skills
I am interested in setting for the June exam. I am a recent graduate in liberal arts. I have no math background. I am looking to devote 30hrs per week of study time starting in mid February. Roughly about 400 hrs of preparation.
Is it possible to use only the CFA institute prep materials and accomplish my goal of passing the exam? I have heard about Schwesser but I really do not have the extra money. Any input will be valued.
Thanks!
Yes, I've got a buddy that did it with just CFA material. But the fact that you have no math background hurts. Schweser makes it much easier than the dry CFA books
I see. Thanks for the input.
Why do you want to do it?
I mean it is what it is, nothing we say can quantify it for you, it'll be "hard", harder than if you were a math phd sure, but doable of course.
if you can add substract divide and multiply your golden, just dont pee your pants when you cant solve a problem keep plugging
Well if you dont know what the end game is, theres no point of doing it.
@lawm, my ultimate goal is to work in asset management.
Sounds good. The only reason I mentioned is that even if you're in the field / already started, you can lose the motivation.
