Chance at landing an analyst position coming from a nontarget in San Francisco?
Hey guys, I know you've seen this thread a lot, but every situation is different.
I am currently on track to graduate in December (from the University of San Francisco) with in Finance. My current GPA is around 3.85
I have relative Finance experience after finishing an internship at McKesson Corporation (#5 on Fortune 500) as a Financial Analyst. Previous experience includes getting investment for a startup idea and a operations analyst (summer intern) at well known Series D company worth over $500m.
Do I have a chance at just applying at every analyst role I can find or am I just not competitive enough to break into a first year analyst role. Any thoughts/opinions are welcome, my feelings won't get hurt if the feedback is negative.
Thanks!
Yes. Follow the same steps as everyone else. Network and apply everywhere.
Is there a thread that provides successful ways of networking/reaching out to people?
Look it up?
Thanks for the comment, after some digging I found the thread. Turns out my situation isn't as bad as I thought it was haha.
Go forth, young grasshopper!
