Citi Communications (Media?) Investment Banking Group
Hi guys,
Just wanted to get some of your thoughts on the Communications group at Citi. How are dealflow, PE exit opps, notable transactions, culture? Been trying to look around and haven't found any information on this group, other than some threads saying it's been a historically strong group at Citi. How does it stack up against other groups at Citi?

Pretty decent group within Citi but falls well short of the other players on the street, notably JP M&C and GS TMT.

I heard they are one of the strongest Telecom groups on the street. Is this still the case? My friend is interning there for the summer and he said the group is absolutely one of the best on the street in terms of deal flow and high profile transactions. Btw..how good is Citi's M&A practice? are they just another outsourcing group?
Citi is up there but goldman, UBS, Merrill, Morgan Stanley, lehman are the top ones here as well, not standing out by any means. citi still have v good dealflow and transactions..
regarding high profile transactions, telecoms tends to be more of a large cap space, so transactions are high profile, in particular now with the level of consolidation in the sector.
