comparable companies excel model?

does anyone have a comparable companies excel template? specifically, one with macros that looks up the ticker and spits out financial data? any help would be greatly appreciated

I think Bloomberg can do at least part of the spitting out financial data.

If you're decent with VBA

If you're decent with VBA coding it wouldn't be too difficult at all. I would give it a shot but I have exams to study for :-)

I know that Yahoo's numbers

I know that Yahoo's numbers can be diff than a lot of other people, but you can use their industry comparisons...they export to excel, but then again you can't pick spec. companies.

Are you using a computer that is connected to a bloomberg terminal for this? You can actually use a lookup if you are...

CapitalIQ has plugin for excel to do exactly what you're talking about.
I believe Bloomberg has the same.
