Difference in Interviewing (London vs. NY)

Hi all. I recently was notified that I will be interviewing for SA in London. Are there any differences in terms of valuation of which I should be aware? Is it still DCF, CAPM, WACC, etc.?? Will I need to know any of the differences in international accounting standards versus GAAP?

Also, what are the relavent indices and rates to know for London interviews (I'm assuming DJ STOXXX, FTSE, and LIBOR. Are there any others?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Wow, I can't say that any questions like that came up at any of my SA interviews or assessment centres!!!! I found them to be quite laid back and in the entire 'get to know you' frame of things. That could just be the places I interviewed at though. Sorry can't be more help, best of luck.

Depends on what you are interviewing for, but the main difference is that in the UK they use Assessment Centres where you have to do psychometric testing, case studies, group work, and presentations. In North America they just have interviews. The case study is usually a simple valuation excersise(at least for the ones i've been to). You don't really need to know what the LIBOR is at or a breakdown of all the euro indicies, but I was once asked to describe the subprime crisis to a regular person on the street.

Hope this helps.
